GIOVANNI TOMMASO GARATTONI

Architect, graphic designer and designer Giovanni Tommaso Garattoni was one of the founders of Bolidismo. In 1980 he created the SLEGO ("the most important rock-club in Italy") and oversaw the design, furnishings and image of some of the most important Italian clubs. With the multimedia group Complotto Grafica he participated in 1983 in DESIGN BALNEARE, the first major showcase of the "new Italian design". Since 1984 he has been producing his exclusive furniture collection THE DECLINE OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION.

In 1991 he was invited to the NEW ITALIAN DESIGN exhibition held in New York, Los Angeles, Dallas and Toronto, and in 1998 his works appears in CONTEMPORARY FAMOUS ITALIAN DESIGNS, the first book on Italian design published in China. He was the creative director of the artisan workshops of the Community of San Patrignano for which he created the Fin de Siècle collection, presented at the Milan Motor Show in 1993; in the same year he founded THE ADRIATIC LINE, a group of designers / craftsmen promoters of the "neo-regionalist" style of the 21st century.Since 1996 he has collaborated with TONELLI DESIGN and his latest product, the VU mirror, has been selected for the Compasso D’Oro award.
